I've played on Ignition and Bovada, both are very nice but I'm kinda bored with the anonymous interface. I love playing tournaments the most, and I do love how many ignition and bovada offer. I've heard good things about global poker and ACR. What bitcoin casinos do you play on today in 2020?

https://www.flickr.com/photos/189498870@N03/albums/72157715276319253 Unfortunately I have to sell my game collection due to some urgent issues. Hard for me to say goodbye, but I have to. I'll leave a Flickr album here with pictures of all the games. I'm asking for 5150€ for the entire collection, no game will be sold separately. This is a honest collection from a game enthusiast. So I am going to deposit and I don't have e a poker bonus. I was thinking about getting a casino bonus and playing blackjack with the spreadsheet beside me to play well to clear the bonus as close to a coinflip as possible. My question is say I get 1000 in casino bonus. If lose the casino bonus trying to clear it can I then just play poker with my original deposit and continue as normal or do I have to use my actual cash to continue to clear the bonus before I can cash out? Basically I don't mind doing the 30x play through if I can get free money out of the deal, but if it eventually is going to screw with my ability to withdrawal my poker winnings then I don't want to deal with it! How does this work. I tried reading it but it's confusing.

How beatable are $120-$200 live MTTs? What are good resources to study for them?
My interest is in playing MTTs in the buyin range of $120-$200 (after covid19 ends). A local casino runs a weekly tournament a $150 where $120 goes into the prize pool (midwest region). Example tournament im asking about: https://www.paysbig.com/application/files/official-rules/official-rules-poker-sundays.pdf How beatable is this format? Is the rake too high? What types of players will I be up against? In addition, what are good resources in order to practice for this type of play? I have a decent amount of success in $10-$25 ignition tournaments, but I am sure that the type of play in a live tournament at this stakes may be different.
I have $50 of my money on Ignition Casino. I referred my friend today, and he deposited $100. My poker balance was brought to $150. The thing is, it wants a play through of 25x. This is fine, as I plan on staying around a bit. My problem is that Iv'e won two tournaments, for $25, and its locking the funds behind the play though even though I have $50 of my own money on there. Isnt this kind of ridiculous? Why wouldnt it just use my funds first..
[Serious] Getting Pocket Aces Deep in a Tournament, Value Stratagy
Hello poker I would like to discuss a Pre-flop situation I was in with Pocket Aces deep in a tournament. Here's the important context of the tournament for you to know: This is an online tournament ran by Ignition Casino. 1612 Entrants, and we are down to the final 17 people. Average stack size is only 18 or so BB and I have just short of this. The tournament has gotten extremely tight as the final table is where almost all of the money (Over $11,000 to first place off a $50 Buy in) lies. Nobody wants to bubble the final table as each ladder is HUGE once there. Hand #1: I'm UTG and dealt Pocket Aces. This spot seems extremely standard to me but I still wanted to see opinions. I opened to 2.6BB and got snap folds all around. My question here is this: Because I am trying to build a stack for the final table is it ridiculous for me to play this more risky and limp under the gun? I don't normally limp anything under the gun and I know with pocket Aces you're typically building a pot and defending your hand but this situation doesn't seem typical to me. Maybe I limp and either the BB or someone else gets involved in the hand and then bluffs off their stack to me. This comes with the risk of them sucking out on me with some crazy hand like J8o also though. I still cringe at thinking about a UTG limp with ANY holding. Hand #2: 2 hands later out of some miraculous act of poker gods I am yet again dealt Pocket Aces in the SB. Table folds around to the button and he limps. Once button limps I decided to raise to 2.5BB because I think hes shown enough strength to call. The issue here I should have considered IMO is his limping range isn't strong enough to call a raise that short, especially with the amount of money on the line and how snug he had seemed to play to that point. I have no information that would lead me to believe he would be a strong limper. Everyone folds again. Normally I play my aces really fast and play a rather aggro pre-flop strategy to get to this point in the tournament. I am relatively new to how quickly the entire tournament dynamic changes. I have never played Aces weird but looking back I think I should've gotten risky with at least one of these hands and attempted the limp or smaller raise (Only 2x). ICM considered going into the final table as a big chip man is probably more important than just barely surviving to get there (IE winning small pots rather than large). I busted 13th for under $400 and was devastated. Hand I busted on was a simple short stack cooler. (AK Vs. JJ w/ 12BB) I need an experienced tournament player to chime in on the changing of gears around a final table and the different dynamics as players begin to play scared for the money up top. Thanks for taking the time to read my rambling!
Ignition Casino states online tournaments are for Americans only. Where can an Australian go to play?
As the title says, I'm in Australia looking for a site that offers both cash games, and tournament play. I've been playing some cash games with Ignition Casino but when I went to read about their online tournaments it says this: " To get started playing poker tournaments at Ignition, you first have to download the poker client, which you can find right here. Make sure that online poker is legal in your jurisdiction before playing – Ignition Poker serves customers in the United States only (not including residents of New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Nevada). Once you’ve installed the client, open it, and you’ll be taken to the main lobby at Ignition Poker, where you’ll be able to sign in to your Ignition account and view the entire tournament schedule. " https://www.ignitioncasino.lv/poketournaments Any help would be appreciated.
Since poker was just banned in Australia iv started to try out ignition. After 1 day of playing only a couple hours it is crazy how much softer the micro cash games are, all 7 tables I played of 2c/5c I profited which never happens on stars, people were calling my all in QsQh with QcTc and my KhKd with JcJs it was free money. In saying that I'm tempted to load a couple hundred dollars on to start grinding but am not confident in the trust of the site and withdrawals, any vouches for ignition or advice on what games to play?? I mainly played MTT's / SNG's on stars.
hey. im posting this here because idk what else to do, and thought that someone out there could possibly help, or that my story could help someone avoid mistakes i've made i started playing poker professionally in mid 2017, and for a while it was pretty great. i started out grinding live 1-2 at a local casino while living at home, quickly spun up a roll, and eventually moved to one of the bigger 2-5 NL hubs in the u.s. my first month there was arguably the worst month of my life. my girlfriend of 4 years had just broken up with me, and that coincided with my biggest career downswing (almost 10k, probably had 55k at start of downswing). dealing with all of these external stressors was not easy for me. I have a history of depression, and all of these things lining up together threw me into one of the deepest holes i've been. there were days (prob less than 5) i spent 20+ hours in bed; only getting up to smoke some weed or find some shit food to eat. i took some steps to pull myself out of this zone. hired a therapist, regular exercise, attempting to eat healthier, self-help books, etc. all of this, and some run-good on the poker tables, had me back to a fully-functional (and arguably stronger) 2-5 grinder. i basically god-moded for the next 6 months or so. I prob made 45k with one or two 5-8k downswings thrown in along the way. I'd begun playing 1-2 on ignition (initially for practice/ studying, but then continued bc games were good my hourly there was comparable to my hourly grinding live 2-5) and consequently got my hands on some bitcoin. i was already somewhat familiar with what it was and was generally bullish (still am) so figured i'd hold on to a couple of the fuckers since the roll was so healthy and it seemed like a decent mid-long term investment. well, what fucking timing this turned out to be, as price soared from 4k to rougly 8k by end of may. it was around this time that i think my success began to go to my head a bit. i mean, not that i had done anything particularly grand, but i def had a somewhat constant euphoric buzz going on basically around the clock. I was 25, had over 100k nw, had investments that seemingly were going to be worth millions in the not-so distant future (/s), and worked my dream job in which i was able to get away with whatever the fuck i wanted. "Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta," was like my life theme song, playing wherever i went. is this kind of phenomenon experienced by other pros when upswinging? it's summer now, and the dreams of shipping a tournament are abundant. i create a ~15k package, and sell about a 1/3 of myself to maintain sanity in case things go poorly (net worth >100k at this point, abi mtt is probably 1100). my lease expires at my current spot, so i'm off to vegas to bluff johnny chan or something. ...or something indeed! i cashed just 1 out of probably 12 tournaments and broke even in cash. it felt not good, but I think i had/have a better understanding as to how big variance is (especially in mtts) relative to most, so I was pretty ok with this. not to mention, btc had topped at 14k, which def made dealing with the negative mtt variance a bit easier. the highlight of my wsop was day 1 of the main event (didnt initially plan on playing, but I was able to sell 75% and it'd been a dream of mine to play since i was a kid, so fuck it, ill take a shot). my table is a joke. it is unfathomable to me that these types of players both exist AND somehow have $10k to light on fire in a poker tournament. one of my table mates felt the need to heavily exemplify the lack of fucks he gave about this $10k. the dude showed up for the tournament pretty drunk (started at 10am, LOL). first, he has this weird interaction with the dealer where he sits down in seat 5 and dealer tells him he's in the wrong seat, and to move to 6. it takes the guy an abnormal amount of time to understand, but eventually he figures it out and moves over. ok, let's run it. few hands go by and the drunk guy scoops a small pot (probably less than 1k chips and we started with 50k). the seat next to him is unoccupied but there is a stack in front of the seat that is blinding out. as drunk guy scoops his pot, he "accidentally" scoops the chips next to him, in what appeared to either be an extremely slick (/s) attempt to find an early double, or an attempt at a bad joke. imo, it was most likely either a poorly timed joke or the dude was just so fucked up that he just didn't realize what he was doing, but we will never know for sure. either way, jack effel promptly dq'd the guy, which i think was absolutely too harsh. i still regret not jumping to this guy's defense, as i really doubt there were any truly ill intentions behind his actions. one more quick highlight from my day 1 : i mentioned my table being a dream, and it was, with the exception of one player. a former main event champ, joe mckeehen. i didn't know much about him prior to this except that he was a part of chance's Chip Leader Coaching team, which made me think he was prob a beast. and i was right... the guy undoubtedly had an edge on me (and ofc rest of table) and both played and carried himself extremely well. i played one hand vs him that was noteworthy, particularly because of what he said to me afterwords. cant remember exact sizing's so bear with me: joe opens hj 2.2x, button call, i call bb with td8h. flop: q67r. i check, joe cbet 1/3 pot, button fold, i call. turn: 4x (i think i could do some leading on this card since i improve to straights and 2p at higher frequency than joe, but who tf am i to just lead into the former champ??) i check, joe bets 2/3. i think x/c and x/r are both fine, but decide on x/r this time. sizing was something where i'd set myself up for 80-90% jam on the river if he called. joe takes a few seconds, and as he's picking up his cards to throw them into the muck, says something like, "i really don't believe you, but i'm not going to call you down. don't do that again, kid." what a thing to fkn say man, absolutely legendary. he folds. i think to myself, "i've bluffed the champ! call me mike mcd mother fkers." in all seriousness though, he obv did pick up on some sort of live read, but even with whatever that was, i think over-folding a high-variance, bluff-catching spot vs the only other competent player at the table makes a lot of sense given this is day 1 of the main event and our table is a complete and total joke. wp joe, and thank you for the story. a true legened, imo. anyway.. fast forward to day 3 of the main and i'm out a few hours before making the money. talk about maximum pain, man. i felt i'd basically avoided any real feelings of tilt/ disappointment prior to this despite a pretty brutal summer, but busting the main was a scratch on the surface of the negative emotions/ tilt i'd buried during the bad downswing i had after my initial move away from home. the roll is still healthy. the price of btc is falling, but my nw is still around 95k. even though i still have plenty of money and am well-rolled for the main game i want to play (1500 cap 5/t), i have this weird psychological block where it feels like i dont have enough. i think i began to feel this more so when i dipped below 100k. it's like my brain has this weird obsession or belief that i need to be over 100 to be complete (i know, sounds insane, but again, im curious if others experience this kinda thing?) somewhat dejected, i head back home to spend a few weeks with the family before i head out to boston to set up a new home-base. fast forward to now: i've been renting a room at an air bnb for a little over a month. i'm breakeven over my last 700 hours of live poker (about 175 of those are me losing ~15k at mtt's). i've played about 135 hours of 5-t since moving to boston and an stuck about 6k. pretty normal i think. btc price back down to 8k though, so that + life expenses has brought the networth down to about 85k (70k liquid). i know, i know... plenty of money, even for playing 5-t. but holy fuck man, it does not feel that way. i feel like i did a year and a half ago when i first moved to the 2-5 hub and was dealing with downswing + major breakup. it's quite difficult to even get out of bed and take a shower. forget getting my ass down to the casino and actually putting in some volume in the volatility-chamber. it simply doesnt feel possible. it feels especially risky. like i want to avoid even giving myself the chance to book another losing session because i know how much it'd hurt. do other pros deal with shit like this? if so, what kinds of techniques do you use to combat these feelings? is there a way i can trick my brain into thinking more rationally? idk how i feel about actually posting this shit. i'm pretty self-concision in general. i will say that writing this out has been therapeutic in some way, and i do feel a bit better. maybe tomorrow will try and do a low-volatility online session. going to try to get outside and get some sun while i still can today. enjoy the spew/ wsop main event weirdness
Yes, I know what you're all thinking.. how many of these stupid posts am I going to see. Why can't these freakin kids just read the subreddit wiki or the past posts... Lol yes, I have done both of these things and even played online poker a few years back. I'm only playing NL Holdem and am going to be playing pretty low/micro stakes at 1/2 cent or maybe 5/10 cent max. My real reasoning here is that I just took a pretty helpful poker course and would like to practice the techniques and feel more comfortable to use this at lower (softer) online stakes before I play more casually in my local casinos and in vegas. Also, I am in the US but my state of residence is a "grey area" state so unfortunately no WSOP or Pokerstars websites. As for the wiki page it is very helpful but some sites like Global Poker are not even on there. The old posts (that are somewhat recent) are relatively helpful when they aren't extremely biased and start teaming up on certain websites. Basically I want to get a comprehensive taste of what your opinions are. The more opinions the better :) I really would like to devote my time on one website. My ideal website to focus would encompass hopefully most of these rules:
The site works in the US “grey area” states (so 888, Pokerstars, and WSOP are out of the question)
Has decently soft low/micro stakes. (I don't expect fish everywhere, but something not incredibly tough)
Doesn't have any issues in terms of money going in and out and allows for crypto deposits/withdrawals.
No true evidence of a lot of bots or collusion going on.
Lively cash games (although I might dabble in some tournaments)
Here are some things that I would like to see but aren't really mandatory:
I would like to use PokerTracker 4 HUD if possible, but it’s not a dealbraker.
A decent deposit bonus and rake back would be appreciated but again its not the end of the world if they dont
I would like a decently stable software that doesn't have so many holes in it and constant crashes.
***PLEASE don’t just say a site name. Give me an explanation too! Pretend like I’m a huge noob (which I am). Thank you for all of your help! I've heard good things between Global (which I’m still not sure if this is just one website?), ACR and Ignition.. but these are just a few to name. Let me know of any and please give reasoning! I appreciate it so much!
I've had a really hard time finding a trust worthy online poker site. It seems like all of them have lots of people saying they are fraudulent or have payment issues etc. I guess that makes sense, but I've seen a lot of reputable people say Ignition is sketchy too. I also don't even know if I can trust review sites anymore, any of them can be bought. So that's why I'm coming to the people of reddit, I need to know. Are their trustworthy poker sites for US players? Or do you just have to deal with sketchiness and the possibility you'll never get your money out? I tried Sportsbetting, america's cardroom, and ignition, and these seem to be the most reputable casinos yets they all seem to have sketchy problems too. I feel like I've looked at all of them. On a side note, are there any semi-reputable sites that have lots of small multitable tournaments (2-6)? Or just better volume? I haven't played online poker in like a decade and I was surprised how low the volume was on even the most popular US sites. Is this really all the poker players in the world on sites open to US players? Where is everyone?
g'day early morning Melbourne grinders, out here to get that bread I'm wondering what thoughts you folks have about playing poker at Crown casino: specifically, if $1/$2 cash is as bad as everyone says, have you moved up to $1/$3 (or higher?), moved over to tournaments (there seem to be a lot of them going on), or moved to Sydney/Vegas? I've only done minimal study of the game and sat down for some $1/$2 with little success, but, as I'm intending on doing much more study, I'd like to focus on a specific format of game: I just don't know which one to pick. Thanks! Edit: Very good input, looks like my options are: -$1/$3+, though the format is still quite bad -Tournaments (specifically Friday Freezeout) -PPPoker -Ignition once again, thanks for your input cobbers!
I’m a relatively new poker player and I have just been playing online on Ignition for the most part. I went to my first live tournament over the weekend in the basement of an Elks Lodge hosted by a group called Rockford Charitable Games. The chips that were used had no marking of value on them. I got a stack of different colored chips, the dealer quickly told me the value of each color and the game was underway. because of my nerves, and also my horrible short term memory, it took me awhile to remember the value of each chip. Is this common in live tournaments? I played a cash game at a casino once and all the chips had the value amount on each chip.

Hi everyone, this is my first post of hopefully many in many different topics. I want to apologize in advance for more than possible orthographic/grammatical mistakes as I am not English native speaker - I am Spanish - I have been playing poker in periods of time for more or less 10 years. Nothing serious but a hobby I really love. However, since April/June I've been trying to study and play at least weekly in a continuous way. I have been playing basically MTT low stakes, and after monitoring results, I am around breakeven with a couple of 2nd and 3rd places, and not many FT more. I am living in the US and playing in Ignition Casino. With that being said and after looking a lot to different topics regarding this, I want to create kind of the main post where you all can share your own experience between poker training sites/books/etc. I have read a lot of topics comparing two places or opining about the cost and if it is worth, which I think is a little bit biased when asking about the quality of the site. I would like you to share your opinion, not for the prize as the main point, but the content you found there. Due to my job schedule, I spend quite a long time on the road, and my study resources have been basically podcasts - tons of hours of them -, but I would like to force myself to study at night or the first hour in the morning whenever I have the time to do it. There is plenty of material, and I would like to know your opinion between different sources, and the deep on the contents for each one you have tried. Everything below has no order specified in preference for me, just in order as it appears in my mind: Podcasts
Red Chip Poker
Postflop Poker Podcast
Tournament Poker Edge
Poker on the Mind
His and Hers Poker
.......
Books
Little's books
old-school books
raisers edge
hand by hand
Grinder's
.......
Free Material
CardsChat poker strategy
Little's weekly hand review
Doug Polk Poker youtube channel
.......
Training sites
Negreanu's Masterclass
Upswing
Poker Tournament Edge
Raise your Edge
Advanced Poker
PokerNerve
Run It Once
........
I am particularly interested in knowing the quality and deep in contents for the Training sites for some reason, but I am looking forward to knowing about any other free material that may include good, in order, deep content that may postpone a subscription to one of the monthly online sites. Thank you!!
I have almost exclusively played live poker and I'm looking to transition into the online world. I have a family and the closest casino is an hour away so it's hard to get time to play. I know these sites with American players are shady and I don't believe any reviews I read online. I am looking to mostly play cash but I would like to sprinkle in some tournaments. I would like to hear what sites people prefer whether it be Ignition, Global, ACR or any other site. I can also be reached on twitter @fClamez. Any help would be appreciated.
How does "balancing your range" translate to anonymous Sit&Go tournaments?
I'm a poker novice, and when I read and watch hand analyses, the idea of "balancing your range" often dominates the discussion. Oversimplified, the sort of situation where "X is usually the correct move in this situation, but if you do it 100% of the time, you become extremely exploitable, so you need to do Y 25% of the time as well". This isn't terribly hard to understand. What I struggle with is how to apply this concept to situations where an opponent will have basically no data on you. Usually, this means an anonymized Sit&Go tournament (like on Ignition), but something similar applies to if you sit down at a cash game at a Casino in a town you've never been to before. If you're a well known pro, then if you do the same thing every time in a certain situation, people will quickly figure that out. If people know nothing about you, it seems like there is no penalty to just going with the best move 100% of the time. Is it as simple as that? Where can I read more about how to understand the concept of balancing your range and avoiding becoming exploitable in different situations for players who aren't playing against the same players over and over? Any links to references or answers would be appreciated.
First of all , it took me jumping through sooo many hoops trying to even deposit. They didnt accept any one of my 3 debit cards, or my 1 credit card , youre aloud to try them 3 times every 24 hours. I tried each 6 times over 48 hours- no avail. Any sane person would have just stopped there but i'm in a new location nowhere near a casino and have been dying to play poker lately. I See they take visa and mastercard both so I purchase a mastercard gift-card at the supermarket - and I got this because it was the only international giftcard there. Try to deposit onto the site and it says this card will not work on this site, you must use a visa giftcard or a netspend gift card ... Okay so I go buy a netspend visa giftcard from the store with my other giftcard and go back to deposit onto the site- doesnt work. Call customer service and they just keep telling me i need a netspend card or a visa card, and wont stop telling me about bitcoin ... all in all I was one final denied attempt from completely losing it and not going back on when someone on the phone finally , magically, got the charge to go through - keep in mind my bank saw none of these transactions even attempted . It worked out in the end as I ended up hitting 2nd the next day in a tournament for 900$ but then my next issues started Just went to withdrawal and my options were bank wire or bitcoin, bank wire 5-10 day , bitcoin 1-15 mins . No brainer right? So i submit my request and give them my bitcoin address, and it says thanks your request is being reviewed and will take up to 48 hours to be approved . No where on the page does it say that nd when I called they told me its on the help page and youre supposed to read that first ... tl:dr - depositing money is harder than digging a 20 ft ditch and withdrawls are not at all the time they quote on the site. Thought I would post my rant for any americans interested in Ignition , i expect to get some flak for the way i wrote it .

I recently signed up for ignition and am looking for advice on taking advantage of their bonus structure. I signed up for the "free" $10 bonus, but it says that I need 100 poker points to actually use the $10. Their chart seems to indicate that I will need to contribute about $100 in rake to get 100 poker points. So is this bonus basically saying that after I have given Ignition $100 they will give me back $10 that I am free to withdraw? Doesn't seem so free to me. I see that there is a ignition casino 100% welcome bonus, but I am reading that "Bonuses can not be used in the Poker room and Poker does not contribute towards rollover unless specifically mentioned in the bonus terms." Since this requires 25x rollover, if I deposit $10, does that mean that I need to bet $250 on slots/table games in order to get $10 that I can withdraw/spend on poker? Since I'd rather not blow my cash on casino games I don't see any value in this one. I see each 200 poker points can be redeemed for $1 worth of tournament tickets. Again, this seems pretty much irrelevant given that I am effectively getting .5% rakeback. Unless I am misreading things, these bonuses seem to be quite over emphasized on their site for how little they actually provide. For those of you all who have actually gone through the system, is there value I am not seeing, or is the whole bonus system just shiny words?
